Sr level job search is painful

I have learned a great deal about a job search at 50 over the last few months after getting laid off. Some of it very helpful and productive but a great deal of very disappointing insights that have lead me to start to get creative in my search.

I have a diverse background having worked across sales, marketing and New Business development in the sports, media and advertising business which tends to have employers wanting to put me in a category instead of using all my experience.

I am interested in this site to see how networking with a random group of people can help me in my search. Ok go………
